All right for those who are not English native here is the definition from "The American Heritage" dictionary : "One who escorts people to their seats, as in a theater". In New York, in some theaters, they have this "usher program". You are a usher for free and you see the show for free too. And it is a nice way to meet dedicated theater lovers i.e the other ushers.
