We left Sunday and stopped over in Durham. The Cathedral is definitively a highlight ! Remarkable surviving architecture from the Normans. Typically going north the weather has been more autumnal than our last Indian summer in Nottingham. In Newcastle we are staying in a 3 * hotel next to the Castle Keep and the Central Railway Station. I'm gladly seeing quite a few people I already met on previous trips and L. , the courier from the travel agency, is as always nice and helpful .
