On Saturday the 3d I lost my car. I mean I left it somewhere and when I came back one hour later it wasn't there anymore. At least I thought it was the case. In actual fact, a week later the police found it on the same spot - read : where I thought it was - no damaged, safe and secured. Although it was only on a small street in West Bridgeford at the border of Nottingham - somehow I managed to miss it.
Anyway after having 1st claimed a thieft from the insurance when it turned out I was the only one to blame I renounced the claim. In the meantime the car had been taken by the police in a recovery garage miles away from the city centre. I was assuming I could get my car back sort of straight away. Fairly enough the police has to do its job and inspect the car inside and out. Tomorrow I'm going to get the key to the garage and then wait and see.

I've lost the car twice in car parks in Nimes - though have found them within the hour... so not quite as bad as you... but close.
