I spent last week end in Paris with my friend T. We were staying in an hotel in the 11th district between Bastille and Place des Vosges. So we walked through Le Marais a lot. Saturday we went to a spa near Arc de Triomphe / Parc Monceau because my friends B & B from O. had offered me a massage and face treatment there. It was very relaxing and a first time treat for T ! We had lunch at Ladurée on Les Champs, they are mainly famous for their macarons but they have nice traditional food too. In the evening we went to see "Midnight in Paris", the last Woody Allen's film. We loved it. Woody at his best !! We then meet up with my friend D. from P. at a restaurant called "Les Bonnes Soeurs" off Place des Vosges.
Sunday we went to Musée du Quai Branly. Thanks to the booking on line we didn't have to queue and it was actually not particularly busy. This museum is definitively very different. Anybody interested in Art should go there to try to grasp the roots of civilizations / cultures. The building itself is quite amazing and very practical. We ended up our stay by a nice lunch at "La Fontaine de Mars". According to "Le Routard" President Obama dined there...
