Thursday 9/10 : Current News at Jasa Williamsburg Center

I resumed this weekly activity I did last winter : to lead a discussion group on the current news in English & Spanish. It was actually with the same people as last time. I picked up an article about the 40th anniversary of the cultural revolution in China. We talked about the importance of getting an education. Two seniors gave their testimonies. A lady who grow up in the States, on a country farm and had to work long hours for her parents as well as following her studies. And she made it. A gentleman from Puerto Rico who had to go to school bare foot whatever the season because he was from a very poor background. And he made it too.
